Spring Season FAQ
For boys ages 8-10 that want a more challenging pace, we offer an instructional program interlaced with some competitive play.
Boys ages 11-14 are assessed and higher skill level players will be placed on our most competitive team in each age group while allowing novices and newer players to learn the sport and further hone their skills.
At our JV and Varsity levels, we jump right into practices four times per week with up 10 games scheduled for the season.
In 2018, we will introduce a new program for younger boys ages 6-14 who have never played the sport, never held a stick, or even seen the game played. These novices will meet twice a week at Buncombe County Sports Park for nine weeks. This is a skill building program based on our comprehensive curriculum. We build a solid foundation of individual skills through teaching, drill work and eventually, scrimmages. For several weeks of this program, only a lacrosse stick and mouth guard will be needed to participate.
