In the 2018 Spring Season, we will offer programs in the Varsity/JV, 14U, 12U and 10U divisions. At the 14U boys division, teams will be divided into A & B Conferences. A for advanced players, B for intermediate and beginner players. Assessments will be made the first two weeks of the season. The goal in placement is to foster growth of every player by providing an environment with teammates and opponents of nearly equal skills. Team placement will be based upon (in no particular order): athletic skills, lacrosse knowledge, stick work, level of commitment and attitude.
14U teams will practice from 5:00pm – 6:45pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Fletcher Park (address: 85 Howard Gap Road, Fletcher, NC 28732)
HOME games will be played at Fletcher Park on Saturdays (see separate A and B schedules below). Due to the nature of the sport and limited opportunities in our area, travel for all divisions/teams is required. Games are played in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Fee Schedule (all fees include required membership to US Lacrosse):
14U: $299 per player (payment plans are offered) *
* We offer family discounts for two or more siblings.
Unlike other rec sports programs in our area, our coaches are not volunteers, rather, they are skilled and certified lacrosse coaches using a curriculum designed by our well-qualified and experienced head coaches.
Connor Jardeleza, Head Coach
In 2006, Coach Connor Jardeleza has been a member of the Asheville Lacrosse Club since 2003. Before this he played lacrosse at Paint Branch HS and Howard Community College where he was a captain and midfielder at both schools. After graduating from Howard Community Center he moved to the Asheville area where he played lacrosse at Mars Hill College for another two years. Upon graduating from Mars Hill with an English major and an Education minor, Coach Connor decided to stay in the area not only to play with the Asheville Lacrosse Club, but to help the youth program to flourish as well. After coaching at Asheville Middle School and Asheville High School for a year each, Coach Connor decided to create his own team to support the growing high school boys lacrosse population in the area. Thus the Asheville Empire was born. Currently, The Empire is in its tenth season and looking for new players, coaches, sponsors and supporters constantly. Coach Connor is also a counselor every year at The Christ School for its summer lacrosse camp: Revolution Lacrosse Camp and currently the Head Coach of 14U.
